Carmen Kuncaitis
Dean of the Grand Rapids U.S. Extension Campus
"Along the way, she’s experienced that her heavenly Father has wonderfully good plans for her and for her students, and that with Him, you can laugh your way through life’s unknowns."
ABOUT CARMEN
Carmen first learned just how personally and deeply God loved her at Charis, and she’s been passionate ever since about helping others walk confidently in that same truth. After raising five children alongside her husband, Mike, she sensed God still had 'more' for her life and she's learned that saying yes to that nudge is where the adventure begins.
That search led her to Charis Bible College, where the Lord spoke clearly to her heart and invited her to open the Grand Rapids campus. The idea felt overwhelming she had never done anything like it before but God met her fear with a promise. Through Revelation 3:8, He assured her that He was opening doors no one could shut, and He has proven faithful to that Word again and again.
Since the fall of 2017, Carmen has joyfully led Charis Grand Rapids with her husband, Mike, faithfully by her side. After 40 years of marriage, they now celebrate the blessing of 13 grandchildren and a life full of faith, family, and adventure. One of the highlights of the year for Carmen is the mission trips. Students often remark on how much laughter fills those trips, and that joy is contagious, sparked in no small part by Carmen’s love for adventure and her willingness to step into the unknown. Along the way, she’s experienced that her heavenly Father has wonderfully good plans for her and for her students, and that with Him, you can laugh your way through life’s unknowns.
